Adapting to Charlotte

Yesterday we had a very mommy day, everyone wanted mommy and poor daddy was being rejected. At one point I had Charlotte asleep on the boppy on my lap, Lindsey laying down next to me with her head on the edge of the boppy and Holly on the other side of me.

Here is Lindsey and Charlotte asleep on mommies lap
Holly is very protective of her baby sister and needs to give her lots of kisses she's even gotten to the point that she won't go to bed with out giving both of her sisters kisses, it's part of the routine now. We went to the doctors office yesterday and Holly had to sit next to her sister in the waiting room and kept lifting up the blanket to peek at her.
Daddy and his tiny girl, it's amazing having a baby that is so little again, you forget what its' like with them growing so fast.

Sew crazy!

This is my purse (I'll be using it as my diaper bag)

I didn't work all that much but appearently having a routine every week keeps you from being stir crazy. I told Kyle I would stop working in March and so I have and now I'm going a little nuts! It's not a bad nuts I suppose, I've just been sewing like a mad woman! I've now finished the girls Easter dresses, Kyle's apron, another apron, a shopping cart cover for Maebeth, and a purse I'm going to use for a diaper bag! My next project I will start today is one of Maebeth's aprons. Then I'll go to the store to start the blanket for mom, I think I can probably get Maebeth's apron done today, they don't take me that long! Any who, check out my creations!

This is Maebeth's shopping cart cover folded up in it's self

like when she uses it

This is my newest apron
We are having a service Auction
For enrichment, I think I'm gonna
take it!
This is Kyle's apron
It's made from a heavy denim
Fabric so he can use it with
his smoker, I think we'll be
adding a Y to it soon!

Single minded

Lindsey's dress
I get a little bit of a one track mind when I start a project because I always know that if I could just work on it a little bit more I could finish it. Plus I love finishing a project I love the feeling of completing something! So I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday (I love Hobby Lobby) and got the material for the girls Easter dresses. I knew I couldn't work on them until I finished Kyle's apron, which I promised him a long time ago, so I got busy. I finished his apron and Lindsey's dress yesterday and started Holly's and have been sewing all morning! Well, I did it, I finished their dresses. Charlotte's is the tiniest dress I've ever made, it's actually a baby dolls dress because they just don't make patterns that small! I'm just hoping it will fit her!

Charlotte's dress
(to give you an idea of how small it is that's my ironing board that it's laying on and it doesn't even make it across)
Charlotte's bloomers! They're ruffle bums!~
Holly's dress
I've got to find a onsie to go under it. She's such a tiny little thing (this is the pattern for 18-20 lbs).

The wrestling match that is Family Home Evening!

Kyle has become this whole new person and I'm really impressed by him! We have been working really hard on reading our scriptures together every night and saying our prayers together and am proud to say that we have accomplished this task every night with out fail for over two months now! (and this is usually with HIS reminders) We have also been working really hard on doing Family Home Evening with the girls every week. It's been quit a challenge but this week was week 6 so we must be doing something right! It's quit an interesting practice though, we all sit down and if Holly manages to see the treat before we start, the wrestling match usually begins. She's getting better though. Now if we tell her we have to say a prayer, she sits still (for about 5 sec) and folds her little arms, it sooo cute! Lindsey is getting really good at saying prayers and only needs a few prompts but it makes her really proud to do it. Then we try really hard to have a short lesson, thank goodness for church handouts, I have an entire years lesson plan for small children! The first couple have been about our family and why they are important and daddy even did one to talk about our new sister that is coming!

Rotten Lindsey

I don't know what has gotten into my Lindsey, I think her dad's brainwashing scheme is starting to work! He has her saying that she loves daddy more than mommy, which was fine with me because I knew better! But then tonight before bed he told her to come give me a kiss and tell me happy birthday, and she told him she didn't want to give mommy kisses she wanted to give daddy kisses and she wouldn't even tell me happy birthday! He finally got her to sing Happy Birthday to mom, but she didn't want to give mommy kisses only daddy! I think his evil plan is starting to work!

Giving us a heart attack!

Holly has a new trick! She can now climb on the white couch via Lindsey's chair and if dad leaves his video game chair close enough she can climb on it and sit. She's very proud of her trick and she climbs up over and on to the chair just to slide down and do it again. Tonight daddy had to beat the chair up because it threw our poor angel off and hurt her...and then she did it again. She's so funny!
