Our Crazy Life!

I haven't updated this in a while so I thought I would sit down and let everyone know what our family is up to! Holly is as busy as ever, as a matter of fact Grandy get's phone calls on a pretty regular basis from Holly who has stolen mommy's phone and dialed Grandy without us knowing it! She's quite the booger. She's also learned to be a rather good climber, and is getting better everyday (yikes for us)! She is definitely a girly girl in the shoe dept, she LOVES shoes. She recently discovered the hot pink boots Aunt Kim bought for Lindsey a couple years ago and has been wearing them regularly, (I don't know why but little girls love Hot Pink boots!) We also discovered a pair of red sparkly shoes that belonged to Lindsey, almost to late, they are a little tight, but she wears them proudly! We just bought her a toddler bed which she is so excited about. We've only tried letting her sleep in it once, which did NOT work because she got up to play over and over, so we reverted back to the crib. Today though I found out that she has to move to the toddler bed. I feel like the worst mommy in the world because I put her down for a nap in her crib and when I went to get her from her room she was not in her crib! I don't know if she climbed out of fell out because we have to let her cry herself to sleep and so I don't go in to check on her once she is down because then we have to start all over, but she could have been crying because she fell out of her crib :( So needless to say she is sleeping in the toddler bed from now on!

As for Lindsey, she is doing so great! She's making giant steps and I think we are even going to get a braille writer for her! (kind of like a type writer but it types braille) I'm super excited because I had started a little journal for her while we were in Utah when we had the braille writer from the school and I'm hoping to start that again! She's also a funny girl, the other morning we went out to wait for the bus in the rain. I had our umbrella but I could hardly keep her under it because she wanted to play in the rain. She kept reaching out to put her hand in the rain, and then she didn't want to get on the bus and go to school she wanted to stay and play in the rain! I get notes from her teachers a therapist on a regular basis letting them know how truely upset they are to loose her. She is a very loved little girl. I actually went up and helped set up for her school carnival the other weekend and found out that I have quite a famous little girl. I already know the ladies in the front office, who tell me every time I come in how much they adore my little red head. But I got to meet several other teachers from the school who love my daughter. As soon as I told them who's mom I was I was told how cute she is walking down the hall with her little cane. Even the lunch lady was excited to meet me and talked to me about Lindsey. Kyle was even suprised when he came up with the girls, the principle came over and talked to Lindsey and Kyle was informed that everyday when Lindsey gets to school he comes over and gives her four pats on the back so she knows it's him! I really am sad we are leaving this school where she is so loved but she seems to have that effect were ever she goes!

Charlotte is just Charlotte. She has finally started to smile but only at mom. She seems to be our very serious child, and she loves to look around. When she's not eating (which is ALL the time) she wants you to hold her or help her sit up so she can see. She's getting really big too, it's breaking my heart. I don't know why they have to grow so fast, I swear everyday I wake up she's grown a little more. They just never stay little long enough.

As for me and Kyle, we are great! Kyle is slaving away at school and doing great! I'm really proud of him. As for me, I sew as much as I can which isn't a lot. I have to feed Charly every two hours, and then have to jugle making sure the other two are aware of the fact that yes they are still loved in between. Mom's need more arms in my opinion! We are two months away from our fifth aniversary, can you believe it. Somedays it doesn't seem like it's been that long, and others feel like it's been forever! But I truely love that man, he is my best friend and I can say we are truely comfortable with each other.

A day at the zoo!

Since Lindsey was out of school today, and dad got out at eleven, we decided we needed to go to the zoo. (or daddy said Holly was driving him crazy and we needed to get out of the house LOL) We had a lot of fun and Holly was a blast to watch. She really loves animals!

Look at those funny

Okay the Easter pictures

Since it rained last night and was still wet, we hunted eggs inside! Holly was so funny, everytime we found one we would have to stop to say OHHH before we got really excited. They were really cute!

This is as good as you can get when you have three girls!
(notice I forgot to take down the child safety gate in our fireplace
that has to be there thanks to my wonderfully curious Holly)

The wrestling match that is Family Home Evening!

Kyle has become this whole new person and I'm really impressed by him! We have been working really hard on reading our scriptures together every night and saying our prayers together and am proud to say that we have accomplished this task every night with out fail for over two months now! (and this is usually with HIS reminders) We have also been working really hard on doing Family Home Evening with the girls every week. It's been quit a challenge but this week was week 6 so we must be doing something right! It's quit an interesting practice though, we all sit down and if Holly manages to see the treat before we start, the wrestling match usually begins. She's getting better though. Now if we tell her we have to say a prayer, she sits still (for about 5 sec) and folds her little arms, it sooo cute! Lindsey is getting really good at saying prayers and only needs a few prompts but it makes her really proud to do it. Then we try really hard to have a short lesson, thank goodness for church handouts, I have an entire years lesson plan for small children! The first couple have been about our family and why they are important and daddy even did one to talk about our new sister that is coming!

Slumber party

Sydney, Jack, and Katie got to come over and spend the night last night since they are all out of school for Presidents day and Leanne and Jesse had to work. It has been a lot of fun having them here. They have been playing all day with the girls!

The Plague!

So, Kyle and I had to run back to west Texas (again) this past weekend to take our Nurses Entrance Test. We were suppose to just run down and come back the following day, but unfortunately we ended up spreading the plague to our poor family in West Texas! Kyle already had a cold when we left but Holly and I ended up with a nasty stomach bug that was apparently extremely contagious! It took out everyone in our small family and spread like wild fire, Mom, Dad, Maebeth, and Nolan were all wiped out before we managed to leave. You know it's bad when dad comes home from the ranch and asks me and Kyle to unload the Mule and trailer because he just couldn't! I'm not sure we'll be invited back anytime soon!
