EXHAUSTING!

Oh how I love my Holly! Today while I was feeding Charlotte, I noticed it got a little too quiet in our house so I went to find Holly. She decided she needed to take a bath with sister so she got in fully dressed!!

Here she is in her boots! what a funny girl

Holly

Holly loves her little sister, tonight while we were reading scriptures with the girls I had Charlotte sitting in my lap, so Holly decided she needed to come sit in my lap too! So I ended up with both of my little girls sitting with me! I'm so glad she loves her little sister

I also spent the day making Holly her Easter egg basket, because Lindsey already has one. Well, I finally got it finished and managed to really upset her because I wouldn't let her play with it. This is her basket
This is a very upset Holly finally getting her way

the best big sister in the whole wide world!

Miss Holly is absolutely in love with her baby sister and wants so much to help and love her! Today her the batteries for her swing ran out so Holly was happy to push her in her swing! Not only that but Holly loves to drink out of mommies big cup with the straw from the hospital and was trying to share it with Charlotte when mommy came in and stopped her. She's such a sweet girl!
Holly didn't understand why she didn't get a turn in the swing once Charlotte got out, so daddy had to take her outside and swing her.

Giving us a heart attack!

Holly has a new trick! She can now climb on the white couch via Lindsey's chair and if dad leaves his video game chair close enough she can climb on it and sit. She's very proud of her trick and she climbs up over and on to the chair just to slide down and do it again. Tonight daddy had to beat the chair up because it threw our poor angel off and hurt her...and then she did it again. She's so funny!

Big helper

Holly is such a wonderful helper. She loves to help with the laundry, dishes, cleaning, pulling weeds, and anything else mom or dad could ever possibly need help with. It's really cute and every once in a while very helpful. She's started wiping up her spills when she spills milk or water, which is nice because it keeps me from having to bend down to do it! The newest help she's discovered is taking the laundry basket of clean clothes from the laundry room to moms room to be folded! She really likes this because she gets to push the basket (which is twice her size) I'm amazed she can do it!

Holly's First Day in Nursery!

Today the count down officially ended and Holly got to go to Nursery for the first time! HORRAY!!!! She had a wonderful time, couldn't care less that we left her with strangers and apparently had a wonderful day! Her nursery teacher found me in the hall and asked if all my children were perfect! I was so proud, but then again she has been coming to Sunbeams with me the past couple of weeks and has truly been my best behaved sunbeam. She always sits quietly (which for Holly is amazing)! I guess I'm just a lucky mom because I didn't do anything special!

OH MY!

So I guess I'm a little delusional, I haven't been doing a really great job of keeping track of how far along I am. At my last doctors appointment I was 34 weeks and I guess I just haven't noticed the time passing because I've had it in my head I still had 6 weeks til my due date which meant 5 weeks until I was ready for her to make her grand debut! Then I went and looked at my baby ticker, turns out two weeks has passed and I'm 36 weeks prego! I only have 4 weeks til my due date, 3 weeks until I am "ready" for her to be here and 1 week until my doctor would be okay with me going into labor!!! YIKES! I didn't realize time had passed that fast, and I am not ready, I haven't got her clothes down from the attic, I don't have anywhere for her to sleep right now (not that it's a big deal, we are just moving the playpen into our room) and I haven't bought any diapers. Don't get me wrong I'm excited about her coming, I've just been amazingly content to be pregnant this time. I guess I better start transitioning into baby ready mode!!! EEK

It's a hard life

Of all the days my daughter actually decides to sleep in, she chooses the one that we have to wake up and get going! She's usually up between 7-8 but was content to sleep longer today! Unfortunately we had an appointment this morning so I had to go in and wake her up at eight, she was less than thrilled! She finally stopped glaring at everyone when I told her we were gonna go take a shower. But her contentment only lasted for a moment. I must be the meanest mommy in the world because I broke her poor little heart by informing her that "Dot Dot" couldn't take a shower with us. She was devastated and went and told on me to daddy. Poor Holly. We managed to rescue our poor "Dot Dot" right after we got out though!

Holly's noises

Oh, our Holly. She has really started talking and making some fun noises. She now officially knows what a cow say's, yes with the 'M' and all, and makes sure to point out every cow she see's, and every once in a while a horse or dog that she thinks should also 'Moo'. Daddy has also started a new noise with Holly and to be honest I don't know what he was thinking! She has a new fascination with belly buttons, and when she first found daddy's, his 'beeped'. They thought it was great fun at first but dad has since learned his mistake. While mommy and daddy happen to be talking Holly will come up stick her finger in daddy's belly button and when she receives no response, she will beep until he does.

Diapers off!

Holly is figuring out all kinds of new things. She's really proud that she can now get up on one of the couches all by herself by climbing on the luv sac first. So tonight while Kyle and I are watching TV she decides she wants to sit with dad who is laying on the couch. She climbs up and starts walking down the edge of the couch to sit closer to him when he reaches down to grab her and hold her. Surprise surprise dad, Holly has also learned how to take her diaper off and does it on occation when she is wet. So instead of grabbing a diaper dad grabbed a bare bottom! I think it might be time for potty training!

Children children!

Holly doesn't fight with her sister, she fights with the cat! Apparently Holly wanted the love sac and Pocono wasn't gonna give it! He was gonna nap there whether she liked it or not! She's not very good at not getting her way! LOL

Ready to go

This morning Holly got up and decided she needed to put on her shoes and her coat. For no other reason than she needed too.

Belly Buttons

Holly has now discovered her belly button! It started with her noticing mommy's belly button and an absolute need to stick her finger in Mommy's belly button. So mommy showed Holly her belly button. She is absolutely fascinated now! She will pull mommy's shirt up and daddy's shirt up to stick her finger in their belly button, all the while chanting "button". Then she pulls her shirt up to show us hers! I love seeing her learn new things!

Pink toes!

Today I had the amazing idea that I would paint Holly's toenails, because mine were looking really bad and when I do something she thinks she needs to as well. So I thought I would beat her to the chase. I never realized painting toes had so many no's to go along. She wanted to help paint her toes, and she wanted to wipe them off, and use the toe nail clippers, and use the file. We finally got hers done, and mommy's done and now she follows me around to play with my toes! What a silly girl!

Holly shaves

Holly is exceptionally observant. She gets to take baths with her dad on occasion and apparently has noticed him shaving. Today she took the shaving cream can and would pretend to put shaving cream in her hands and then she would pat her cheeks like she was putting shaving cream on like dad! She's a mess!

Holly and Grumpa!

Holly loves her Grumpa so much, I think she would follow him to the moon and back. Which is funny because she's very much a mommy's girl and dad is an okay substitute when he has to be. But she loves Grumpa! We got to go visit Grandy and Grumpa this weekend and Holly was thrilled to see him again. She really loved going to the ranch with us because Grumpa let her drive the truck. She had the hazard lights going and everything! She even managed to accidentally step on the air horn button (that's what he uses to call the cows up to eat) which made Grumpa's job a little harder because all the cows were waiting for him to feed them at the gate. He didn't seem to mind though, it's awfully hard to get made at someone who is so willing to give you kisses! She really loved getting to see his cows too, she can now tell you that what a cow says..."oooo" (no M yet that's a little too hard)

Helpful Holly

Holly has recently discovered the "joy" of house work. She used to follow me in to do the laundry and watched as I moved the clothes from the washer to the dryer. Then she started picking up anything I dropped and tucking any clothes that were left hanging over the edge of the dryer neatly in. Now she has to help, I'm to take the clothes out of the wash and hand them to her, and she neatly places all of the clothes in the dryer and even gets to put the dryer sheets in for me. This has become her routine and she now yells at me when I try (how dare me) to put the clothes in the dryer my self. She has also decided she needs to help with he dishes. So the other day I pulled out the step stool and let her stand up with me while I did the dishes. She even got to put the clean dishes on the towel after I got done washing them. She was so proud of herself. But it looks like once she gets to do something she thinks she needs to do it every time. Tonight while I was cooking dinner she came in the kitchen and started throwing a fit. I couldn't figure out what she wanted when she went to the pantry and attempted to get her step stool on her own. Needless to say I got the message! She was so helpful and put all the dirty dishes in the sink for me so that we could wash them later~

Quality Time!

Holly wants to play playstation with dad so bad that he usually ends up hurting her feelings when he tells her "No". So tonight he figured out a way to spend a little quality time with his little girl. He plays Madden and she plays with the extra remote. Makes two happy people!

Katie and Holly

Katie got to come over last night for a sleep over. We are not really sure who she comes to sleep over with? She spent the whole night and day playing with Holly who was in absolute heaven and at night sleeps with Lindsey. But the girls had a blast, Katie dressed Holly up and I think was most happy that she didn't have to fight with Jack for Holly's attention! We rarely saw them (which is soooo nice for Kyle and me)!

My little "clapper"

Holly has become very fond of her dress shoes. They aren't normal baby dress shoes because they have heals on it and they clip clap on the tiles. She brings them to me to put on so she can dance on the tile floor and make her clip clap sound. Today she could only find one so she brought it to me and then danced in a circle because she only wanted to stomp the one foot!
