Baby Doll Hair Salon

Last year for Holly's 5th Birthday she received a doll from her sweet friend Valerie name... you guessed it "Holly"!  She was so excited and it was her favorite doll for all of 6 months.  At that point the doll was forgotten.  For all of you that don't know, apparently when a doll is forgotten the live out all of their rebellious fun including attending raves, parties, not showering or brushing their hair for that period of their lives.  Well as you would guess, Holly discovered 'Holly' and was so excited and once again it was her favorite doll and she was up in arms over the fact that her doll had not been behaving in her absence and of course her hair was left unattended.  So to mom she runs!  Now I will admit here I am one of those really awesome Pinterest moms that looks at all the pins says 'there is no way that is happening' and logs all that useful information in my brain for a much later (possibly never) date.  So to me with the very naughty, too many nights on the town Holly my daughter runs "Mommy fix her hair PLEASE" she wails, and I pull up that useless Pinterest pin that says just mix lotion and water and viola, no more doll tangles.  So as the good mommy I take this doll to my Salon (aka kitchen sink) and start the detangling process.  I'm going to stop all you mommies that are rushing to Pinterest for this very handy pin and tell you, it's full of crap.  There was a wet doll head in my sink still with tangles and a brush full of doll hair.  I just happen to be stubborn and labored on. So now 'Holly' sits on my table with her towl around her shoulders under the fan waiting for her hair to dry and thinking about her miss steps while she was unattended.  Do I think she learned her lesson and will stop raving while Holly's back is turned?  Only time will tell.
