Rotten Lindsey

I don't know what has gotten into my Lindsey, I think her dad's brainwashing scheme is starting to work! He has her saying that she loves daddy more than mommy, which was fine with me because I knew better! But then tonight before bed he told her to come give me a kiss and tell me happy birthday, and she told him she didn't want to give mommy kisses she wanted to give daddy kisses and she wouldn't even tell me happy birthday! He finally got her to sing Happy Birthday to mom, but she didn't want to give mommy kisses only daddy! I think his evil plan is starting to work!

Somedays you just need a snuggle

We have had a really great weekend. Lindsey and Holly went to Aunt Leanne and Uncle Jesse's house on Friday night and spent the night. Kyle and I got to go to a play for our theater class, which was an interesting experience, and gave us a lot to talk about. Then this morning we got up early and went to the temple together. It was a wonderful weekend to spend togeather. By the time we all got home we were a little tired so we all layed down to take a nap. This is what we found when we woke up. Lindsey and Pocono were snuggled asleep on the couch~
Who needs a brother when you've got Pocono!

Micheal

I got to go visit Lindsey's teachers on my way to work on Friday and am always entertained when I make that trip! I found out this week that Lindsey has an imaginary friend. She is always talking about Micheal? They asked me if Micheal is a friend or relative and I assured them, I thought he was someone from school! I used to think she was talking about Mynor, from school, and that she just transitioned it to Micheal some how, but no one but Lindsey knows. I also found out she was walking down the hall the other day talking about beer! I was shocked seeing as no one in our family drinks, and asked several times if they were sure it wasn't Root Beer she was talking about. I'm beginning to think this Micheal might be a bad influence! LOL

Love our Lindsey!

Lindsey is such a funny girl! Today she told me that she wanted to "sit down on a scooter"! Which is quite funny since she hasn't riden her scooter at home since this past summer when we could go outside. So I went and got it and she has been scooting all over the house! I think she's having fun.

Lindsey and the chair

So I think we accomplished the impossible! We actually found a present Lindsey likes! Yeah mom and dad now we have a year to figure something else out!

Lindsey's Birthday

Lindsey got to leave school early on Thursday and skip completely on Friday to spend her Birthday with one of her favorite people...Grandy! She had a lot of fun, she got a cup cake birthday cake and got to open most of her presents there. She got a lot of clothes, and some CD's from Grandma and Grandpa Rasband, and a new quilt from Grandy and Grumpa. It was really neat because Grandy had it special made from Sister Tree in Lubbock. It has all kinds of different textures on it and the stitching is hand prints!

Lindsey walks!

We are so proud of Lindsey! She has started walking with a little cane! It's just a starter cane and they will lengthen it as she gets used to it. She is so funny she screams and cries until we tell her how good she's doing and then she smiles and is so proud of herself! What a mess she is.

Lindsey's B-day!

Well tomorrow is Lindsey's Birthday but since we are going to Grandy and Grump's house we let her have her big Birthday present tonight! We had the worst time shopping for the kid, what do you get her??? Well, we found a really cute pink arm chair and she loves it. Unfortunatly so does are little sister and we are having the worst time explaining to Holly why it's sissy's chair!

My big girl!

Today Lindsey was sitting so quietly in Primary when all of the sudden I hear her start crying and yelling "I don't wanna, I don't wanna!" I turned around to see what was wrong (she sits right behind me) and there was no change, no one was bothering her or anything. So I waited a minute more for the closing prayer and I heard her crying again, but when I turned around this time she was pulling at her tights. So I grabbed her up and ran her to the bathroom. She was trying so hard to be a big girl and not have an accident in her pretty Christmas dress, but her tights were just not helping the matter!

Home for the Holidays!

Lindsey's home from school for the holidays now. She had her Christmas party yesterday and Holly and mom went and had lots of fun! They decorated Christmas bags and cookies and did a book exchange. Today was her last day for the year and she got to bring a little school home with her. Her teachers sent her cane home so she could keep working on walking! Mom and Dad are really excited but Lindsey, not so much! She's doing really great though we can't believe the progress!

Lindsey's weekend

Well, Lindsey had a lot of fun last weekend. She got to go play with a lot of toys provided by the Dallas ISD schools for all the blind children at the Sports Extravagansa. She didn't get to make her race though so we were really sad about that. There's always next year though. She did get to do her part for the Primary program and did a great job. She said "I know Jesus loves me because I can hear BEAUTIFUL music" and banged on the microphone at the same time.

Lindsey's exciting weekend

In two weeks Lindsey is going to have a very busy weekend! On Sat the 18th Lindsey will be participating in the Sports extravaganza for the handicapped. She will be "running" (we use this word loosely) in the 25 meter dash! They use a rope the length of the track and it has a tube that will run down it, for her to hold so she knows where she's going. This will be her first year to participate and we are so excited for her. Then on Sunday the 19th, she will be doing her primary program! She has a part this year and already has it memorized! She's already got to be the primary star and tell everybody three things she likes and she LOVED talking into the microphone so we think she will do well!
We are so excited for our little Lindsey, she's doing great in school with walking, talking, and potty training!
